Shipper and Material Handler - 1st shift

MEPPI’s Critical Power Solutions Division (CPSD) is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipper/Material Handler to support our manufacturing and service operations through efficient receiving, warehousing, and shipping processes. This role is critical in ensuring inventory accuracy, timely material flow, and customer satisfaction. What You’ll Do:

Receive & Inspect Materials:
Unload incoming material using forklifts and cranes, verify accuracy against orders, and enter data into the business system.

Organize Inventory:
Uncrate materials using power/hand tools, store items properly, and coordinate movement between multiple warehouses.

Support Production & Service:
Generate and fulfill Pick Lists for production jobs, service requests, and customer shipments, ensuring timely material availability.

Package & Ship Equipment:
Prepare, package, and load materials for shipment, confirming accuracy against Bills of Materials and shipping documents.

Manage Data & Accuracy:
Track inventory in the business system, enter serial numbers for kits, and resolve discrepancies through audits and cycle counts.

Plan & Coordinate Logistics:
Assist with inventory flow planning, direct truck drivers for pickups, and schedule warehouse operations around demand and delivery timelines.

Maintain Standards:
Follow all quality, safety, and environmental procedures while recording transactions in compliance with company policy.

What You Bring:

Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required, with at least 2 years of experience in warehousing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Technical Skills:
Ability to use forklifts, cranes, and hand/power tools safely. Must have applicable safety/operations training for machinery operation.

System Proficiency:
Basic arithmetic, intermediate typing, and comfort with business systems for inventory and order management.

Physical Requirements:
Capable of lifting and moving materials and working in a warehouse environment.
