Summary
We are seeking an experienced UX Design Expert to join our team and drive strategic design initiatives across our portfolio while actively contributing to the evolution of our design practice. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, the design leadership, and other key stakeholders to shape design excellence initiatives, ensuring the delivery of consistent, high-quality user experiences across our suite of products. 

This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our practices and products. You will need to navigate a highly complex domain, manage diverse stakeholder needs, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

 

What you'll do

1 — Lead strategic design initiatives 

• Drive key strategic and cross-functional design initiatives. Work closely with the Head of Design, Design Leadership Team and engage with key stakeholders from the entire SAP Signavio organization. 

• Partner with UX Researchers to conduct discovery studies, strategic research, and usability evaluations to explore new opportunities, understand key personas, and identify areas for product improvement. 

• Create user-centered design concepts and strategies for complex, cross-domain projects in close alignment with stakeholders for balancing desirability with business goals, and technical constraints. 

• Facilitate design sprints and workshops, guiding small and large groups through planning, participant engagement, and documentation of insights to drive product and design outcomes. 

• Be an evangelist for an integrated product suite and drive alignment across our products and teams to help us shape our vision.

 

2 — Drive design excellence in our organization 

• You will partner with the Head of Design and the senior design leadership team to elevate our design practices by developing and implementing design strategies, workflows, rituals, tools, and processes.

• Constantly push our Design culture to be the best by advancing our strategy on how our Design team connects and creates transparency across the team.

• Collaborate with the design leadership team to up-level the UX maturity across design quality, scalability, consistency, design management, and design strategy. 

• Evangelize the user-driven design approach by demonstrating the value and impact the Design team continuously contributes to the Signavio organization.

 

What you bring

• A degree in design, business, innovation or entrepreneurship.

• Extensive experience in User Experience Design or related fields.

• Strong design portfolio showcasing your attention to details and expertise in leading large-scale, cross-functional design initiatives with tangible business impact.

• Expert in the user-centered design approach and methodologies (user research, user journeys, personas, storyboards, prototyping…) 

• Fast learning curve and ability to quickly understand technical & complex topics while being able to communicate derived UX concepts and strategy in a clear and appealing manner.

• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills, with the ability to effectively present and articulate design concepts to influence and lead discussions.

• Being a real team player with the ability to engage and motivate others with outstanding collaboration skills to successfully drive projects across multi-cultural and multi-disciplined teams.

• Problem-solving attitude, self-guided and motivated to learn new tools and techniques with the ability to manage ambiguity, complexity, and change in a dynamic, fast-paced  environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (German is a plus).
