Job Summary

This Postdoctoral Researcher will perform a variety of molecular genetic techniques to genetically transform pennycress as well as other plant species that are highly recalcitrant to transformation/regeneration, using both agrobacterium mediated and particle bombardment methods along with tissue culture-derived plant regeneration methods tailored to each species. Manage plant populations and acquire genotypic, phenotypic, physiological, and biochemical data for peer reviewed publications and grant proposals.

$5417/month

Required Qualifications

1. PhD in Plant Sciences or related field
2. Experience with agrobacterium mediated and biolistic plant transformation methods and methods for regenerating plants from tissue culture
3. Experience with DNA plasmid construction including employing Golden Gate vector assembly

Functional Expectations

Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:

3. Effectively communicate on a daily basis
