Senior Sustainability & Government Affairs Manager 

Based in BUD - Office 

 

 

Purpose of the position:

 

The Senior Sustainability & Government Affairs Manager reports to the Corporate & ESG Officer and is based in the company’s head office in Budapest. She/he is responsible for the Group’s public relations, public policy and Sustainability / ESG functions. She/he develops government relations and public policy and strategy, builds and monitors relations with key industry groups and with European institutions and governments’ officials while developing a strategy with respect to specific objectives set in cooperation with Senior Management. The Senior Sustainability & Government Affairs Manager is passionate about the opportunity to shape the future of the low-cost model and to defend the interests of the Group in a fast-changing environment.

Responsibilities:

 

• Leading the implementation of the Group Sustainability Strategy and Sustainability Reporting functions.
• Proactive monitoring and analysis of ESG / Sustainability reporting best practice and emerging disclosure requirements, to ensure improved sustainability reporting performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect information regarding the company’s ESG performance across all functions such as operations, HR, finance, purchasing and customer.
• Support the company’s corporate sustainability disclosures including alignment with reporting frameworks (TCFD, GRI, CSRD, CDP), data aggregation and associated controls.
• Actively participate in the preparations to ensure Wizz Air’s EU CSRD-compliant reporting.
• Lead the drafting process of the Group’s annual sustainability disclosures.
• Drive the Group’s participation in sustainability ratings processes. <
