$2,500 Signing Bonus*
AFC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Laminated Parts Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of the production department in processing materials or manufacturing products. In addition, the candidate will work directly in the department in a production capacity. The Laminated Parts Supervisor will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all orders are processed in the appropriate time frame (scheduling) and with the proper materials.
- Supervise, train, cross-train, and develop all department personnel by leading and/or requesting formal and informal training.
- Inspect and maintain all equipment, working with maintenance and R&D Team, as needed.
- Manage inventory within the department.
- Develop operating policies and procedures for the department.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs, enhance equipment, and improve operational efficiencies.
- Coordinate workflow to ensure optimal use of resources with the lowest labor cost.
- Communicate with other shift supervisors and managers.
- Promote a positive team environment.
- Suggest process improvements and be a change agent.
- Interview new candidates and make proposals to additional headcount after analyzing business needs with management.
- Work with manager to create and adhere to departmental budget, including managing overtime within the department.
- Ensure the department’s work environment and work processes are safe.
- Hire, coach, provide corrective action, and terminate employees within the department by partnering with HR.
- Support, clearly communicate, and enforce company policies and initiatives.
- Complete performance and pay reviews.
- Reward and recognize individual efforts.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) preferred, or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, and other relevant software applications.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-heat environment and meet production deadlines.
- Knowledge of production processes and quality control standards.
