The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Thermal Management Portfolio Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- USAC emissions P&L ownership, handing pricing, bid requests/RFQs, SKU rationalization, program management
- Develop & implement area portfolio growth strategies to drive top line growth
- Lead business operations, working closely with customers, vertical / global commercial sales, program management, and application engineering
- Develop and drive global strategy for increasing penetration in Commercial Vehicle segment, working closely with other emission area portfolio leaders and vertical sales teams
- Lead execution of NPIs, collaborating with cross-functional team
- Improving portfolio profitability through initiation and execution of cost savings programs
- Provide area insights to inform global and regional strategies
- Assessing and tracking the competitive landscape.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Five (5) years of experience in product marketing/management in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- MBA or Marketing degree from an accredited university with an emphasis in marketing, business, or strategy
- Three (3) years of profit and loss business management experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Experience in leading new product development teams and commercializing new products
- Proven track record of leading change management in portfolio and business strategy
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with various functional and area partners to drive business results
- Familiarity with working in automotive or other regulated industries
Work location:
- This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international travel.
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
