ROLE OVERVIEW

Verition is seeking a motivated Operations Analyst / Associate to join its Post-Trade Support (Futures Operations) team. The Operations Analyst/Associate will support the daily post-trade processing of the firm's listed futures business, ensuring accurate trade processing, reconciliations, settlements, and margin activities. The role partners with Trading, Portfolio Management, Risk, Finance, and external counterparties to resolve operational issues while maintaining a strong control environment and supporting process improvements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the daily post-trade processing of listed futures and options on futures across global exchanges.
  • Ensure timely trade allocation, affirmation, and settlement with brokers and clearing firms.
  • Perform daily reconciliations of trades, positions, cash, and margin balances.
  • Investigate and resolve trade breaks, reconciliation exceptions, and settlement discrepancies.
  • Monitor contract expirations, rolls, and other futures lifecycle events.
  • Coordinate with Trading, Portfolio Management, Risk, Finance, and external counterparties to resolve operational issues.
  • Maintain accurate trade and account data across internal systems.
  • Assist with daily margin processing and collateral movements.
  • Execute daily operational controls and escalate exceptions when necessary.
  • Contribute to process improvements and support automation initiatives to increase operational efficiency.
  • Assist with system testing, new product launches, and operational projects as needed.
  • Maintain documentation of procedures and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2–5 years of operations experience supporting listed futures, derivatives, or capital markets products.
  • Understanding of the futures trade lifecycle, including clearing, settlement, reconciliations, and margin.
  • Experience working with trading, clearing, or reconciliation platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills with a collaborative approach.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
Salary Range
$100,000$125,000 USD
