About the Role

The Recruitment & Operations Associate plays a critical role in supporting our Early Careers talent pipeline, including our Internship Program and the Morningstar Development Program (MDP). This position ensures a seamless candidate experience—from application to offer—while supporting program operations and contributing to the continued growth and effectiveness of our early career initiatives.

You will coordinate interviews, assess candidates, manage logistical elements of intern programming, and support data tracking and reporting. This is an ideal role for someone who is passionate about talent development, highly organized, and excited to work with college students and emerging professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Candidate Experience

· Coordinate and schedule interviews for internship and MDP candidates, ensuring a smooth and timely process.

· Review resumes and conduct initial screens to identify qualified applicants.

· Support hiring managers through interview logistics, communication, and scheduling.

· Manage candidate communication to ensure a welcoming, professional experience.

· Attend campus recruiting events and career fairs to represent the organization and engage prospective candidates.

· Partner with career services teams and student organizations to strengthen early talent pipelines.

ATS & Process Operations

· Manage candidate movement within our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring accurate and timely updates.

· Maintain data integrity, track metrics, and generate regular recruiting dashboards and reports.

· Support improvements to recruitment workflows and documentation.

Internship Program Operations

· Assist in the planning and execution of internship program logistics, including onboarding, training sessions, events, and communications.

· Coordinate with internal partners to ensure interns have the tools, resources, and information they need for a successful experience.

· Provide day of support during intern workshops, events, and program activities.

Data & Reporting

· Track recruitment data, program participation, and key performance indicators.

· Analyze trends and provide insights to help improve recruitment strategies and program execution.

· Support the development of presentations and reports for leadership.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree

· 1–2+ years of experience in HR, recruitment, talent development, higher education, or related field (internship experience included).

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

· Excellent communication and relationship building skills, especially with college-age talent and early-career professionals.

· Comfort using ATS platforms and HR systems; proficiency with Microsoft Office or M365 tools.

· Detail oriented, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively.

· Passion for early talent, career development, and creating exceptional candidate experiences.
