The Senior Manager, Medical Education, demonstrates deep industry knowledge, clinical expertise, and leadership skills to drive medical education strategies for assigned therapy areas in the U.S., under the guidance of the Americas AWM Medical Education Senior Director. Acting as the subject matter expert, this self-starter designs and implements peer-to-peer education programs that promote the safe and effective adoption of S+N products while aligning with strategic business objectives. The role emphasizes innovative educational delivery, applying adult learning techniques to build customized programs that guide healthcare professionals through their learning pathways from awareness to adoption.

What will you be doing?

  • Provides clinical and educational leadership for assigned focus product/market area.

  • Works with Advanced Wound Management (AWM) franchise Marketing Teams to identify medical education learning needs and priorities for assigned brands and delivers MedEd programs to fulfill needs based annual plans. 

  • Performs an on-going comprehensive needs assessment to ensure medical education programs contribute toward delivering the business plan priorities and objectives.

  • Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting Medical Educational activities data from the assigned brands and clinical platforms to formulate education plans aligned with franchise business strategies

  • Responsible for updating and the promotion of the Medical Education calendars of all the local franchise activities 

  • Budget responsibility for own expenses such as travel; tracks and plans own Medical Education spend as part of annual needs assessment and ongoing financial stewardship

  • Assures and supports the logistics related to MedEd courses including registrations, course information and post course evaluation data analysis and reporting

  • Crafts and updates educational content that reflects on-label, evidence-based, best-practice use of assigned products and/or therapy area. 

  • Collaborates with the global Content Development team by providing input on HCP learning priorities and opportunities and co-creating content as needed

  • Responsible for Annual Needs Assessment process and HCP payment management system inputs for the Med Ed activities of assigned AWM brands and HCP consultants

  • Implements new technologies for blended offering as needed: remote learning, hybrid learning models and S+N’s Learning Management System

  • Ensures that Medical Education activities are always conducted in a compliant manner by always working closely with the local compliance officer

  • Collaborates with the Clinical Business Directors and Marketing to develop educational content required to support business priorities for field clinical training and product adoption

  • Maintains solid understanding of compliance requirements regarding relationships with HCPs 

What will you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master's Degree preferred in either Nursing, Allied Health, Business, Education, or a Healthcare related science 

  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a clinical or medical education role in the medical device industry or clinical setting required.

  • Proven track record in HCP faculty development and KOL analysis

  • Strong awareness and strategic approach for medical education strategy development

  • Subject-matter expertise in wound care and wound care products, as well as leading industry medical education processes

  • Excellent planning skills and a goal-oriented mindset

  • Expertise in adult education theory, best practices, and delivery models. Ability to develop innovative, impactful presentations and learning content.  

  • Deep knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system and the medical device industry. Clinical knowledge in the Negative Pressure Wound Therapy including scientific advances, international guideline recommendations, and evidence-based practice preferred.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Engaging and dynamic presenter of often complex and/or clinical information to internal and external audiences of various sizes 

  • Expert-level knowledge in compliance policies affecting medical education, including the Sunshine Act and the Advamed Code.

  • A self-starter with strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Travel - Domestic - up to 75%
