FACILITY MAINTENANCE
Multi-skilled professionals will be responsible for maintaining, repair, and upkeep of all facilities related equipment. These associates should have knowledge of various facility systems such as electrical, steam, compressed air, programmable logic controllers and energy management systems.
Core hours for 3rd shift is 11:00 pm - 7:30 am
Subject to overtime as needed (daily, weekends, holidays)
JOB SUMMARY:
Completes various Facilities projects and assignments on schedule and within budget in order to provide reliable facilities services and ensure quality results at a reasonable cost.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Day to day responsibilities vary but may consist of the following:
- Maintaining and inspection of equipment in facilities mechanical rooms including; air compressors, pumps, motors, fans, boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, etc.
- Rooftop access via external stairway with standard height handrails up to 3 stories high
- Ladder use up to 10 feet with 3 points of contact
- Performing rooftop repairs to building, using proper PPE within 15ft of roof edge
- Maintaining rooftop equipment including; air handlers, exhaust fans, cooling towers, and chillers while using proper PPE within 15ft of roof edge
- Maintenance on electrical systems and components (in rare cases, if cannot isolate energy on some systems, it is possible that work will be performed energized with proper approval from COC, training and PPE)
- Maintenance of building plumbing and domestic water systems including exposure to janitorial waste utilizing proper PPE
- Performing overhead work via aerial man-lift up to 60ft
- Inspection of treated water systems, maintaining water system quality by adding treatment chemicals to water
- General use of hand tools including; electric drills, saws, arc-welders, oxy-acetylene torches, grinders, sanders
- Working in the elements including; snow removal, ice removal, excessively high and low temperatures
- Performing lifting operations with powered and manual overhead cranes and gantries at times within 15ft of roof edge utilizing proper PPE
- Completing work orders and PMs on equipment including the proper data recording and associated documentation of work performed via CMMS.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This job requires frequent sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping and crouching, crawling, color determination (no color blindness), near visual acuity, and smelling odors.
Qualifications:
- Requires high school diploma or GED
- 2-year Technical Degree or equivalent Preferred
- Minimum of 2+ years, experience/education/training in industrial maintenance or technically relative field. Demonstrated abilities troubleshooting, modifying, repairing and performing preventive maintenance on automated industrial equipment. Demonstrated cross-functional experience/skills: Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic systems, PLC, Chillers, Pumps, Fire Protection Systems, Security Access Control, Steam Systems
- 3 years minimum of performing construction and/or maintenance of facility related systems, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.
- Must have knowledge of basic theory and some practical experience.
- Should have a demonstrated ability to plan/prioritize work. PC skills – MS excel/word, hardware, windows operations
- Must be able to work at heights of 20 plus feet on ladders/lifts
- 3+ years industrial maintenance experience
