THE JOB:

The primary responsibility of the Food Runner is to serve guests while providing courteous and prompt table-side service. The runner must be able to describe all dishes brought to the dining room in a detailed manner and answer pertinent questions. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW moments and memories they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.

THE STARING RATE: $13.5894/hr Plus tips.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Welcome guests with a warm and personalized greeting, using your extensive knowledge of the menu, guest preferences, service techniques, and sales skills to guide their selections.

• Be thoroughly knowledgeable about all menu items, including prices, preparation methods and times, major ingredients, and quality standards for taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish, and presentation.

• Familiarize yourself with all hotel services, features, and local attractions to accurately respond to guest inquiries.

• Maintain table cleanliness with a discreet service approach and correctly itemize bills, securing payment efficiently.

• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly with a sense of urgency.

• Work collaboratively with the team, assisting with guest and employee needs and inquiries.

• Successfully complete the Restaurant Training Program and required testing.

• Efficiently deliver plated dishes from the kitchen to the appropriate tables, ensuring timely and accurate service.

• Collaborate closely with servers and kitchen staff to maintain seamless communication and uphold the restaurant's standards of presentation and service excellence.

• Promptly address any guest needs or special requests, ensuring a memorable dining experience while maintaining a professional and polished demeanor.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Prior high-volume restaurant experience as a food runner or similar role.

• Experience in a fine dining setting with an understanding of upscale service standards.

• Pride in work, detail-oriented, and adept at multitasking.

• Skilled problem solver, handling challenging guest scenarios with professionalism and tact.

• Effective team collaborator, fostering a positive and cooperative environment.

• Flexible with work hours and on-call requirements.

• Committed to providing personalized, attentive guest service.

• Strong communication skills for clear, courteous interactions.

• Dedicated to ongoing learning and development in fine dining.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.

RESTAURANT DETAILS:

• Sunday, Wednesday to Saturday: 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM

• Monday to Tuesday: Closed

• May be scheduled outside of these times for opening and closing procedures.
