Program and Role Summary:
Wayfinder’s Blue Bounce Back program is a structured, evidence-based group intervention for teens ages 14 to 18 experiencing or at risk for depression. Held in a safe supportive setting, the program meets weekly for a one-hour session focused on emotional resilience and mental wellness. Teens engage in guided discussion and activities to develop coping strategies, challenge negative thoughts, and strengthen problem-solving skills. The program promotes peer connection and self-awareness, empowering participants to manage their emotions and improve their well-being.
The primary focus of the Clinical Program Manager is responsible for the overall administration and management of the Families First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) evidence-based practices implementation. The manager oversees the program and completes administrative tasks such as planning and developing site goals and objectives, financial oversight, monitoring staffing and personnel issues, developing relationships with community partners, and supervising the performance of the group facilitators and trainers. In addition, the position is responsible for recruiting youth and families to participate in prevention services.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute policies and procedures and a system of accountability that tracks the quality of service, program budget, relevant documentation, and adherence to regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Effectively supervises, evaluates, and directs the work of a diverse group of employees. Timely completion of performance appraisals, regular supervisory meetings, performance documentation, staff development, and supervision for success best practices. Manage personnel functions, including recruitment, hiring, retention, and staff discipline.
- Conducts outreach and engagement to recruit youth and families to participate in prevention services.
- Participates in in-service training and on-site workshops as required for professional growth and development. Attend external training workshops directed by management.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- At a minimum, must hold a master’s degree in clinical psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Must possess or be eligible for licensure in a mental health discipline, as recognized by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences or Board of Psychology, such as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
- Certification in at least one of the ten evidence-based practices identified in the California Comprehensive Prevention Plan, preferably Functional Family Therapy (FFT), Healthy Families America (HFA), and/or Motivational Interviewing (MI). Additional certification as an evidence-based practice trainer is preferred.
- At a minimum, two years of experience providing evidence-based clinical practice to youth and families.
