Summary:

 

Plans, develops, monitors and evaluates the flow of work through manufacturing operations of a business unit including setting production schedules and managing production quality (AS9100), costs and on-time-delivery standards. This position requires department level responsibility for meeting production schedules and communicating with senior management and supporting departments to ensure quality production, most efficient production costs and on time delivery. Drive continuous improvements, process control and operational excellence in a highly regulated environment.

 

 

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all manufacturing activities to meet production schedules, quality standards, and cost targets.
  • Lead daily production meetings to review KPI’s
  • Supervise and develop production supervisors, team leads, and production employees.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Partner with Quality and Engineering team to resolve non-conformances, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain process documentation
  • Support audits
  • Lead operational excellence efforts to improve safety, efficiency and reduce waste to optimize production flow
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and planning to align production capacity with demand.
  • Support new product introductions and production readiness
  • Enforce EHS policies to ensure a safe and compliant work environment

 

Supervision:  Supervises Production Supervisors

 

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Four year degree in Manufacturing, Business Administration or related field and eight to ten years leading a manufacturing operation, including supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles and techniques
  • Knowledge of industrial safe practices and environmental health practices
  • Knowledge of various product line components and assemblies
  • Knowledge of MRP systems and MS Office Suite
  • Ability to effectively supervise the work of others
  • Ability to analyze root cause of issues in production and develop effective corrective action countermeasures.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to read documents and computer screens
  • Able to move around an office building and up stairs
  • Able to sit/stand for long periods of time
  • Able to type on a computer keyboard
  • Able to communicate through a telephone
  • Able to communicate with co-workers

Work Arrangement : Onsite

Pay Range: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 annually

Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
