Accounts Payable Analyst

The A/P Analyst will be a key member of the Accounts Payable team, reporting to the Vendor Master Compliance Manager. The primary role of the A/P Analysist is to ensure that processes are operating effectively by monitoring and addressing issues related to vendor master data. This individual will audit and review core processes, providing recommendations for improvements that enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls.

What You’ll Do

• Data Analysis – Develop reports and analyze data to identify errors or process deficiencies
• Critical Thinking – Analyze errors and process gaps to understand root causes and make decisions on permanent solutions
• KPI Reporting – Develop and provide KPI scorecards of vendor master data and other financial metrics to improve processes and vendor relationships
• Continuous Improvement – Proactively identify opportunities to enhance vendor master processes and methodologies, driving efficiency and effectiveness within the organization
• Cross Functional Collaboration – Lead cross functional teams throughout the vendor master creation process to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Training – Provide training and continuous support to business partners and A/P team members
• Support – Collaborate with the manager to oversee daily operations of the department

Required Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of accounts payable experience in a large corporate environment
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, accounting or another related field
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand the business requirements and deliver quality results
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze process flows to evaluate existing processes and identify process efficiency opportunities
• Strong data mining and proficient Microsoft Excel skills to include V-lookup, Pivot Tables, Sum IF formula, and Power BI Extracts. Must be proficient using other Microsoft products such as PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, time management skills, and the ability to manage a high-volume workload with strict adherence to deadlines
• Ability to collaborate and establish great relationships with key stakeholders
• Initiative-taking, adaptable, and able to work with minimal supervision

Preferred Skills

• SAP processing experience
• Vendor/Supplier master data maintenance experience

Compensation Details:

$64700 - $81000 per year
