The specialist supports end‑to‑end lifecycle management of government‑owned property, including acquisition, receipt, utilization, maintenance, inventory, and disposition. Responsibilities include conducting internal audits, preparing documentation for external audits, validating asset records, and ensuring that all processes align with DoD FIAR guidance, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and agency‑specific property management regulations.

The position requires strong analytical capabilities to identify compliance gaps, implement corrective actions, and develop standardized processes that strengthen internal controls and enhance auditability. The Logistics Management Specialist II collaborates with cross‑functional stakeholders—such as finance, procurement, contracting, and operational teams—to promote accuracy in asset accountability, maintain data integrity within property systems, and support continuous process improvement. This role directly contributes to the organization’s ability to maintain audit readiness, reduce financial risk, and ensure responsible stewardship of government assets.
