The Massachusetts Health Data Tool Manager is an essential position to lead and implement the strategic direction of the State Health Assessment (SHA) and State Health Improvement Plans (SHIP) and their related sustainability activities. This position is necessary to support updating these two projects with cross-department and external partners through collaboration and coordination with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH). 
OVERVIEW
The CDC Foundation seeks a Massachusetts Health Data Tool Manager to support the planning, implementation, and updating of a dynamic, web-based Massachusetts State Health Assessment (SHA) and State Health Improvement Plans (SHIP) and improved data sharing and data visualization processes among Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MPHD) programs. The Manager will be responsible for establishing a coordinating team with weekly status reporting, drafting regular PowerPoints for MDPH staff updates, collaborating with the Office of the Assistant Commissioner for Health Equity (OACHE), community engagement unit, the Epidemiology Community of Practice, and the Population Health Information Tool (PHIT) Team. Collaboration with external partners is a focus for this position, especially with tribal partners and other priority population. Planning, collaboration, and facilitating meetings with external partners is essential to ongoing engagement while also ensuring updated narrative, health equity, and history matters call out boxes in the Massachusetts Data tool includes community partners and community advisory boards input.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 
•Master's degree in public health, communication, epidemiology, or another related field•5-7 years of public health experience at the national, state, or local level.•Professional experience in public health in a program management role or experience as management analyst demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility and leadership; philanthropic, nonprofit or government, and/or public health leadership preferred.•Experience working collaboratively and fostering relationships with diverse collaborators and engaging in strategic partnerships, demonstrating, and prioritizing customer service and cultural humility.•Ability to handle a variety of collaborators, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and thrive in a complex environment while balancing multiple competing priorities and data systems.•Experience in leading program planning, implementation, and continuous quality improvement.•Excellent judgment and decision-making, with strong analytical skills, business intuition, and business acumen.•Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills; collegial, energetic, and able to develop productive relationships with colleagues, and internal/external partners, particularly in a hybrid working environment.•Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Teams, Forms, Excel, Word, Planner, and PowerPoint.•Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.•Strong written and verbal communication skills.•Experience with public health/health related data, data management, and data visualization principles including dashboards.•Ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities.•Interest in learning or increasing their knowledge of the principles of health and/or racial equity.•Ability to adapt to changing environments and receive constructive feedback to improve performance.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Advanced degree in public health, public administration, business, or another related field•Experience in coordination of needs assessment/improvement plans such as a state or community health improvement plan and/or state or community health improvement plan (SHA/CHA or SHIP/CHIP) or similar planning and implementation of organizational improvement efforts.•Familiarity with complex data systems, public health data indicators, epidemiological data, and data dashboards/visualization.•Proven ability in coordinating technical projects across IT and business teams would be an asset.•Familiarity to coordinate subject matter experts (SMEs) in making updates to the SHA/SHIP would be an asset.•Understanding and utilization of tools for project management and quality improvement.•Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, establishing and maintaining collaborative professional relationship to support strong programmatic governance. •Proven ability use discretion, maintain confidentiality and ethical conduct.•PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
