JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the procurement, tracking, and financial oversight of IT hardware and software assets across a large academic medical center. Manages the full asset lifecycle, ensures accurate inventory and license compliance, supports chargeback and billing reconciliation, and maintains adherence to internal controls, vendor contracts, and regulatory requirements. Leads asset operations and reporting, identifies gaps in asset governance, and drives process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across IT asset management. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required
- Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience
2 years of experience in IT asset management.
Experience with ERP or asset management systems (e.g., ServiceNow, PeopleSoft, Oracle, or Excel).
Preferred
- Education
Associate's Degree in Business, Accounting, Information Technology, or related field or
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Information Technology, or related field
- Experience
Understanding of basic Public Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) Billing concepts is a plus.
Experience with Microsoft software license is a plus.
Experience with software license tracking and ITIL processes is a plus.
- Licenses and Certifications
ITIL Foundation
CompTIA A+ or similar IT support certification
JOB DUTIES
- Key Responsibilities:
- Manages asset lifecycles, aligning technology with business goals, and leading an ITAM team to ensure efficiency, compliance, and cost control across the organization.
- Key responsibilities include managing operations related to IT assets, leading teams in asset tracking and reporting, and overseeing compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining supplier records, service level agreements, and software license information/updates.
- The IR Asset specialist will collaborate with the billing team to ensure accurate reconciliation of assets to billing and chargeback models.
