About the role

Overview

The VP Corporate Strategy is responsible for driving the company’s enterprise strategy and long‑term growth agenda including defining and leading the strategic vision and measuring performance against organizational goals. This position manages a team of corporate strategy professionals within the Corporate Strategy function who led market analysis strategic planning portfolio prioritization and executive decision support. This role provides strategic thought leadership in the development of enterprise strategy and investment priorities as well as the translation of strategic vision into tangible business goals operating capabilities and measurable outcomes. Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer this role partners with senior leadership to identify opportunities prioritize initiatives and ensure alignment across Sales Marketing Customer Experience and Operations. 

Responsibilities

  • Set and drive enterprise strategy by translating data market intelligence and business performance into clear actionable recommendations that inform executive and Board decision‑making long‑term planning portfolio prioritization and capital investment decisions.

  • Partner with senior leaders across Product Sales Marketing Customer Experience Finance and Operations to identify size and prioritize growth opportunities including new markets customer segments pricing strategies and business models ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and measurable outcomes.

  • Oversee market competitive and operational analyses to assess performance against strategic goals identify risks and gaps and lead structured cross‑functional problem‑solving initiatives that improve scalability efficiency and profitability.

  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to the executive team by leading high‑impact initiatives and transformation efforts including M&A assessments partnerships and enterprise change programs and by delivering executive‑ and Board‑level narratives that synthesize complex insights into decisive action.

  • Anticipate emerging trends industry shifts and competitive dynamics to proactively shape strategy strengthen market positioning and drive cross‑functional execution that enhances organizational agility and long‑term value creation.

  • Orchestrates the budgeting process including strategy allocation and reconciliation

  • Create strategic vision and collaborate with executive management to define and ensure success of strategy in alignment with organizational objectives

  • Provide managerial direction and oversee all aspects of performance management for direct reports. Measure and hold all direct reports accountable for meeting defined goals and operational standards; ensure management teams are defining and holding teams accountable for all aspects of performance management of direct reports

  • Oversee and hold management accountable for all Human Resources-related managerial functions and responsibilities associated with hiring compensation management employment relations and termination of employees. Approve and ensure the overall hiring aligns to department budget and forecast 

  • Oversee the development of future leaders and assist in identifying leadership potential within the team that aligns with the people strategy 

  • Act as a strategic influencer to internal and external peers industry groups and/or customers

  • Serve as the final escalation point for highest priority issues; provide direction and guidance to assist with resolution of issues

  • Work with executive leadership to plan and set the strategic vision organizational structure operating policies and procedures and management practices to ensure department delivers operational excellence

  • Work closely with appropriate stakeholders and business leaders to ensure success to drive collaborative work across departments

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 13+ years of experience in related field

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in prior management experience

  • Relevant senior level management experience

  • Demonstrated fiscal responsibility/accountability in managing budgets

  • Exceptional Problem solving critical thinking and analytical skills

  • Exceptional collaboration skills applied successfully within a team as well as other areas

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: able to maintain solid rapport with team members as well as maintain professionalism with those outside of department

  • Exceptional Leadership sound judgement and business acumen skills

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills that demons
