If you can warmly greet someone — and still keep the day moving with focus and efficiency…

We want to meet you.

About the Role

As our Receptionist, you are the first impression and lasting impression. You are the face of the community.

You’ll welcome residents, families, guests, and vendors with warmth and professionalism — creating an immediate sense of comfort and trust. You enjoy conversation and connection, but you also know how to gently guide interactions so you can stay on top of calls, details, and responsibilities.

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Is naturally cheerful and friendly
  • Has patience and compassion for seniors
  • Maintains strong boundaries to keep the front desk running smoothly
  • Pays close attention to details
  • Follows through — every time
  • Stays calm, organized, and efficient even when things get busy

You will balance warmth with productivity. Kindness with clarity. Hospitality with follow-through.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a welcoming, informed, and professional presence in the lobby
  • Greet residents, families, and guests with genuine warmth and respect
  • Answer and direct incoming calls accurately and efficiently
  • Monitor lobby activity and maintain a calm, orderly environment
  • Record and relay messages with high attention to detail
  • Assist residents with scheduling services and coordinating requests
  • Support resident activities and events in lobby areas
  • Maintain and update resident directories and office documentation
  • Handle emergency situations calmly and appropriately
  • Support the team with a “whatever it takes” attitude

You will be trusted to keep things moving — without getting lost in long conversations or distractions. Our residents deserve your warmth, and our team depends on your follow-through.

Requirements

  • Previous receptionist experience required
  • Experience with or sensitivity to elders and/or disabled individuals
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must genuinely enjoy interacting with seniors, families, and the public
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Professional communication skills with warm, confident presence

Our Culture

At Arbors/Ivy, the front desk sets the tone. We believe in connection, accountability, and teamwork. We work hard, laugh often, and support one another. We hold ourselves to high standards because our residents deserve nothing less.

If you’re ready to be the steady, cheerful, detail-oriented face of a community that values integrity and ownership — we’d love to welcome you to the front desk.
