Capacity Production ManagerWhat does a great Capacity Production Manager do at Fiserv?
You will join our team as a Capacity Production Manager and lead a comprehensive credit card manufacturing operation, overseeing a team of inventory, shipping, and receiving associates. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the efficient planning and scheduling of card manufacturing operations. This includes managing the technical aspects of scheduling materials, manpower, and machines for production operations.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations to plan lead times and work orders for internal sub-assemblies.
- Oversee and coordinate daily shipping and distribution operations, ensuring that all products are shipped and delivered in a timely manner.
- Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) for materials as well as plan and manage material replenishment strategies ensuring timely availability for production and on-time delivery of customer orders.
- Analyze sales order releases concerning capacity planning and material requirements to identify constraints and optimize workflows.
- Maintain adequate levels of stocked components to meet anticipated production demands while preventing shortages.
- Drive implementation of cost-reduction strategies and process improvements in shipping efficiency, working with the shipping supervisors to identify opportunities for optimization.
- Review production specifications, communicate capacity constraints, and monitor workflow to ensure timely deliveries.
- Design and implement effective scheduling processes to meet production objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and/or military experience.
- 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
- 2+ years of experience with data analytics and reporting.
What would be great to have:
- 5+ years of experience in developing and managing master schedules aligned with production plans to meet monthly production goals.
- Previous Understanding of ERP/MRP systems along with MS Office applications.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as lean manufacturing, six sigma, kaizen.
- Experience in sales and operations planning to balance supply and demand effectively.
