IU Health is looking for exceptional nurses with a passion for emergency medicine to join our top-ranked Emergency Medical Trauma Center at Methodist Hospital! Does that sound like you?
The Rapid Response RN represents the highest level of nursing practice. This RN role works in a proactive manner to review high-risk patients, educate RNs and collaborate with providers to create optimal patient outcomes. This role will be in addition to the current Methodist Rapid Response Team, to assist in a vast array of clinical settings for critical care nursing expertise, critical thinking, and seasoned knowledge.

Our innovative emergency medicine services encompass every level of treatment for critically injured and seriously ill patients. As a Level I Trauma Center, IU Health Methodist Hospital Emergency Medicine services include a full trauma staff and surgical team available on site 24 hours a day. Methodist EMTC leads both the state and the country in providing excellence in trauma care.
Qualifications/knowledge/skills/abilities
- Requires at least 2 years of ICU or high level ED experience.
- Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
