Lead Cleaner, Environmental Services (Overnight)

To assist the supervisor in the day-to-day operations of the EVS staff while maintaining cleanliness standards.

10p-6:30am shift

Job Description:

To assist the supervisor in, directing, assisting, monitoring performance and ensure the completion of EVS tasks assigned to EVS cleaners and HD cleaners.   Maintain quality and cleanliness standards set forth by the department.   Accountable for follow up with department walk through, special cleaning projects and maintaining of department cleanliness and training standards. Follows and ensures security and safety guidelines are being followed.   Monitor key control and radio control, and assist in the collecting of each at the end of shift.   Handle customer and employee issues/complaints in conjunction with the supervisor when they occur.   Assist in continuous training of staff to insure proper execution of given tasks.  Complete any assigned task from department manager or supervisor.   Perform departmental BUZZ sessions when supervisors have days off.   Will be expected to clean zones on the casino floor, or restrooms, and any other job if short staffed, or if staff needs assistance.

High School Graduate.  Computer Application Skills.  Strong communication skills. Trained in BBP and Bio-Hazards and OSHA regulations.   

 

Physical Requirements:

Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations

Able to lift and carry upwards of 5-15 pounds

Must be able to lift 50 lbs and pull or push carts up to 200 lbs.

Able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned area

Respond to visual and aural cues

Read, write, speak, and understand English 

Able to work flexible shifts

Operate in mentally and physically stressful situations 

Must be able to manage several tasks. 

Ability to interact effectively with co-workers.

Licensing and Certification Required:

Employees will be required to obtain a Missouri Gaming Commission license.   The initial license is paid for by the employee through payroll deduction.   All subsequent renewals for the license are paid by Harrah’s North Kansas City.
