Position Specific Description
This role will support all geoscience staff in the company. A strong emphasis will be placed on critical thinking and analytic skills.
Basic Job description and daily duties:
- Provide support to Geologists with ongoing projects
- Assistance in maintaining Geoscience Databases, data loading and data quality.
- Assist with map generation and presentation layouts
- Experience working with datasets such as wells, logs, core data, and other oil and gas data types.
- Experience working with Kingdom, Geographix, and ArcPro.
- Experience utilizing S&P Enerdeq.
Job Overview
This job is responsible for overseeing and developing oil and gas projects. Employees in this role complete projects to meet production goals in an efficient and cost saving manner. This position evaluates project performance and upside potential for asset acquisition and divestment.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Develops, implements and maintains programs to ensure job quality, safety, and cost
- Prepares and provides information in order to obtain regulatory permits
- Evaluates and ranks new opportunities
- Implements strategies to improve current plans to continually refine operations to contain costs
- Works with operating partners to identify and pick new locations, perforations and completion techniques
- Analyzes offset and competitor data and trends in order to improve performance
- Provides accurate and timely well cost estimates
- Recommends and applies new technology in drilling and completions
- Makes recommendations to strategic plans
- Maintains a safe work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures
- Ensures field activities are in compliance with company policies and government regulations
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Grad / GED
- Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
- Experience: 4+ years
