Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Zoox is looking for an Senior Site Reliability engineer who will be responsible for measuring and maintaining the uptime of the many applications and will be heavily involved in all phases of rolling out a application from designing systems that are easy to maintain and fault-tolerant through deployment, operation, continual improvement and build custom integrations. Our team is looking for someone who is enthusiastic about automation.

In this role, you will:

• Work on installation, configuration, deployment, debugging, support and upgrades of Enterprise applications.
• Develop and maintain scalable application infrastructure, and implement best practices for CI/CD, Infrastructure as code(IAC) and automation.
• Identify KPI’s for application performance and provide supporting performance metrics.
• Design and implement logging and monitoring for applications. (e.g Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix)
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to the application performance.
• Participate in on-call shifts, incident management and work after hours/weekends for applications.

Qualifications:

• Experience deploying and managing Web/Java based applications through EKS/Kubernetes, Docker.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with Cloud environments (AWS, GCP) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Experience with GIT, Ansible, Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Have proficiency with Python and Shell scripting.
• Have experience installing, configuring, logging and monitoring Linux systems. 

CompensationThere are three major components to compensation for this position: pay, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The pay range for this position is $200,000 to $250,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The pay range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
