Senior Analyst, Investor Relations
Position Summary
The Senior Analyst, Investor Relations works under the guidance of the Director, Investor Relations and acts as a liaison between the company and the public on financial matters. The Senior Analyst will support the finance team and senior management by leading developing resources for quarterly earnings presentations and other key events, helping represent JetBlue at conferences, and implementing a variety of investor relations programs and activities including research and analysis of industry trends.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist Director, Investor Relations with development of materials for the financial community including press releases, earnings call scripts, road show presentations, and other related materials
- Act as point of contact for day-to-day investor relations queries and sell side interactions
- Benchmark company financial performance with peer group companies
- Track and maintain securities analysts’ financial models and research on the company
- Monitor, track and communicate company and peer set stock performance and valuation
- Provide current relevant business, competitor, and financial community insight to management on a regular basis
- Assist in preparation of senior management for presentations and other events
- Coordinate logistics for investor communication events including earnings calls, investment conferences and one-on-one meetings
- Responsible for content and oversight of JetBlue’s Investor Relations website
- Collaborate with management across all business divisions to gain ongoing business knowledge
- Work alongside and communicate effectively with different groups and organizational levels across JetBlue
- Prepare ad hoc analyses as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least three (3) years of previous relevant work experience
- One (1) year of experience in in-house or capital markets finance or analytical role
- Three (3) years of finance and/or analytical experience
- Working knowledge of capital markets structure, financial instruments and valuation techniques
- Strong experience/in-depth knowledge with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Available for international and overnight travel (10%)
- Must be in possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
- Highly articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization and influence internal and external audiences
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Demonstrated interest in airline industry
- Master of Business Administration degree, Master’s in Finance or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
- At least one (1) year of investor relations or finance strategy experience
- Strong financial and business background with the ability to analyze, understand and articulate all aspects of the company's business plan

- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

- Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
- Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
