NIQ Media is seeking a Business Development Director to drive revenue growth with leading platforms and media companies in North America. This is an exciting opportunity to join NielsenIQ (NIQ), the global leader in consumer intelligence, and help expand our presence in the rapidly evolving media space. You’ll be responsible for driving adoption of NIQ’s media solutions - helping media companies better understand their audiences, optimize performance and prove advertiser value. We are looking for a results-driven, commercially minded sales leader with deep expertise in data and measurement solutions and a proven track record of closing high-value deals with media companies and platforms.  The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can capitalize on new opportunities and thrive in a strong team-based environment.  

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, network and build senior level relationships across the assigned accounts in the US. 

  • Generate a pipeline of high-value opportunities aligned with NIQ’s growth strategy. 

  • Employ a consultative approach to deeply understand client needs and position NIQ solutions effectively. 

  • Lead deal cycles end-to-ed, from proposal development, negotiation, and execution.  

  • Work with the Product, Commercial, and Operations Leads in curating client input to help develop and prioritize new and upgraded solutions. 

  • Develop client relationships that maximize renewals, upsells and expansion opportunities 

  • Deliver insightful presentations and educate clients on current NIQ capabilities and resources. 

  • Achieving sales quota consistent with NIQ margin goals and delivery expectations.  

  • Collaborate with Sales Enablement and Product teams to ensure client satisfaction, renewal and growth which each account.  

  • Represent NIQ Media at industry events and serve as a trusted advisor in the evolving media landscape. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in business development or sales within the media, ad tech or data analytics space.  

  • Deep understanding of audience data, measurement solutions and media buying processes across media clients and adtech. 

  • Strong network and relationships with the publisher and platform ecosystem. 

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and growing revenue with large enterprise clients. 

  • Exceptional relationship building, negotiation, and communication skills. 

  • Experienced in scoping and developing proposals and negotiation strategies. 

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. 

  • Excellent sales pipeline management skills with a track record of predictability and consistency. 

  • Self-starter, entrepreneurial mindset who can work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software. 

  • BA with a concentration in Communications, Marketing or Media a plus. 

Additional Information

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range: $117,500.00 - $175,644.00. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
