As a site reliability engineer on our team, you’ll work with the DoD on the development of more robust systems by building a resilient infrastructure. You’ll build in redundancy, implement monitoring tools, and automate wherever possible. You’ll reduce toil by scripting routine tasks and automating self-repair. This is your chance to leverage your expertise in virtualization and systems design while assisting junior engineers and broadening your knowledge base.

You Have:
5+ years of experience working with VMware and Horizon VDI in air-gapped closed environments
Knowledge of virtualization and computer systems
Ability to perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware, hypervisor, and infrastructure upgrades and resource optimization
Ability to install, configure, manage, and monitor VDI environment components
Ability to ensure virtualization systems are compliant within required DoD SAP security standards
Ability to assist in the development and maintenance of O&S standard operating procedures for VDI environment
Top Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree
Security+ or higher DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification
Nice If You Have:
Experience developing and implementing test strategies and documenting results as well as diagnosing and troubleshooting problems within a virtualization infrastructure
Experience with support of zero and thin client management and virtual application management a plus
Knowledge of storage and network systems, active directory, DHCP, DNS, and virtualization optimization
VMware or other industry standard certifications
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
