Purpose of the Position:
The Student Finance Processing and Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting students’ financial well-being and academic success. By managing billing, tuition adjustments, and refunds, they ensure smooth financial processes, fostering a positive student experience.

  • Pay rate: $19.00/hr.

What You’ll Do:

  1. Account Ledger Maintenance: Maintains student account ledger cards by posting all Title IV funding and student and third-party payments.
  2. Billing: Processes and bills all third parties that work with students, including but not limited to, private, local, county, state, and nationally funded agencies.
  3. Record Accuracy: Ensures ledger card correctness for all students, such as posting ledger card charges and adjustments, and resolves credit balances promptly to stay in compliance with Federal regulations.
  4. Accounting Procedures: Assists in month and year-end closing accounting process.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • High School Diploma, any degree, or equivalent experience.

  • Ability to support a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Computer literacy/basic computer skills to effectively navigate and utilize the technology required for the role.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Any degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong or advanced proficiency in any of the above required skills/experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams.
  • Other skills and abilities – critical thinking, problem-solving, organization, interpersonal skills, and multi-tasking.

Compliance:

  • Demonstrates knowledge of, and carefully follows, all applicable state laws and rules, federal and state compliance requirements and regulations, including those prescribed by the U.S. Department of Education, accrediting agencies, state regulations, and internal policies and procedures.  
  • Effectively communicate compliance requirements to other staff as appropriate and quickly escalate any compliance concerns to the Compliance department.
