This position is funded through August 31, 2028. Extension of this position is contingent upon renewal of funding, job performance, and department needs.
Purpose
The Director for Option III Program Advising & Admissions will be responsible for directing program advising and admissions for prospective and current graduate students in the Option III programs and for supervising program coordinator(s) on program recruitment, advising, and admission. This position will report directly to the Associate Dean for Student Services and closely partner with internal stakeholders, especially with the Graduate Advisor, Assistant Dean for Graduate and Doctoral Programs, and Option III program directors, including the Director of Post-Master’s Doctor of Nursing Practice Program.
Responsibilities
Program Advising & Administration
Collaboratively partner with Office of Student Services teammates to develop, maintain, and strengthen programs and services for graduate students, especially for Option III program students.
Proactively inform the Associate Dean for Student Services, Graduate Advisor, and program directors on student issues, cases, and progression.
Closely coordinate with the Graduate Advisor, Assistant Dean for Graduate and Doctoral Programs, Option III program directors, Associate Dean for Student Services, Program Faculty Directors, and the Communications Department on recruitment and brand marketing strategies and tactics, including: purchasing ads; keeping content organized; attending conferences for recruitment; setting up meetings with the chair and the communications team; Driving tasks that are deadline-oriented.
Oversee Option III program administration, including: tracking student tuition and other UT required fees; creating bills/invoices and monitoring payments and balances; updating payment deadlines and institute promissory notes when needed; claiming wire transfers of student funds; registering students for classes in Option III program code courses; liaising with financial aid office on behalf of student aid; processing and approving student professional development requests
Consistently maintain a timeline, standard operating procedures, and strategic initiatives documentation for the Option III Program Advising & Admissions unit.
Ensure that core/key processes and procedures for programs and services for graduate students are accurately and timely documented.
Assist graduate students with the registration process, advice on program policies and procedures, and connecting to available resources, including the Graduate Advisor and Office of Student Service teammates.
Provide students with in-depth information and clarification of institutional and graduate program rules and regulations.
