Job Description

The role

Given the ongoing expansion in the Americas region, such as the US and Canada, Checkout.com is actively looking for a driven and energetic Director to lead the Treasury team in the New York office.

The ideal candidate will deploy a strategic/owner mindset and be well organized, adaptable to the changing demands of the role, and capable of independently working toward specific goals!

 

How you’ll make an impact

 

  • Provide strategy, direction, and oversight for all Treasury activities across Americas within the Group framework, and with that play a significant role in devising our Americas strategy
  • Act as the senior contact and escalation point for senior management and regional partners In the Americas region
  • Lead a team of 3 people initially and grow the team over time
  • Chair the Americas Treasury Committee
  • Understand and apply regulatory requirements across liquidity, capital management and safeguarding
  • Manage all aspects of regional Treasury movements within the company’s acquiring network
  • Manage and forecast settlements, pay-outs, and daily cash flow positions, and manage excess liquidity investment
  • Devise solutions, ideas for process improvement and optimization for Treasury, key partners, and clients
  • Utilize a range of corporate banking and FinTech partners to continually optimize regional balances, liquidity, and funds available for investment, including looking after Investment and P&L opportunities
  • Work closely with the FP&A function to plan ongoing operational and capital requirements
  • Oversee multi-currency processing, settlement, and payout activities, using a range of counterparties and solutions for optimal FX trading and execution
  • Manage hedging to mitigate financial risks and foreign exchange positions
  • Maintain regional and local banking relationships
  • Be responsible for and manage Treasury reporting as part of ongoing MIS

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

 

  • 10+ years track record of the leading treasury in an international setup
  • Experience working with senior management, clients, and a multitude of partners
  • Experience in Payments (Acquiring / Issuing) is preferred
  • Experience using BI reporting tools (Looker/Power BI/Tableau etc) is desirable
  • Experience with financial modeling and analytics
  • Highly analytical, strategic thinker with strong ideas and foresight
  • Experience with applying supervising controls and mitigating operational and financial risk

However, final salaries may vary subject to several factors, such as a candidate’s level, relevant experience, qualifications, skills and proficiency for the role. Please note that this information is provided for those in New York City only, and this role is open to candidates outside of New York City as well.
For regular full-time employees in New York City, the estimated base salary range is from : $206,953 to $279,996.
