Be our next Senior Transportation Designer
Your work environment at EXP
In this role, you will be a part of the Transportation team, based in Tampa, FL
We seek a team player who desires a highly collaborative work environment, has excellent client and communication skills, and strong design capabilities. We seek a candidate with expertise on the Florida's Department of Transportation (FDOT) roadway projects. The types of projects include RRR Pavement Only Projects, Ride Only, SMART, Reconstruction and Safety.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Effectively negotiate, plan, monitor and deliver quality projects and consulting services
- Knowledge of FDOT design standards, specifications, Basis of Estimates and Designer Interface.
- Planning, organizing, and supervising the work of other transportation professionals
- Lead roadway plans preparation and development efforts
- Direct roadway design engineering projects including signalization and signing and pavement markings
- Ability to work in OpenRoads and 3D Engineering Modeling software
- Understanding of FDOT’s QC compliance criteria
- Understanding of FDOT’s EQR
- Experience developing, negotiating, and managing scopes, schedules, and budgets
What your experience looks like
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 15 years related experience
- Demonstrated experience leading the production and final delivery of FDOT CADD deliverables, managing schedule and budget, and maintaining high quality work products.
