Class 1 Food Delivery Driver

Compensation: $85,000 - $90,000 / year

Description

The Class 1 Highway Driver is responsible for transporting product to our customer’s locations safely and on time. The candidate should have good organizational skills,basic mathematical skills, excellent customer service, a professional attitude and appearance. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Check Vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order.
• Handle company equipment properly; follow written driver safety rules, and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Maintain vehicles cleanliness.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
• Check conditions of truck/trailer after contents have been unloaded to ensure that there has been no damage.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oils, fuel, or radiator fluid.
• Performs emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires or installing light bulbs, tire chains, or spark plugs.
• Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
• Ability to complete assigned work in allotted time.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve service issues.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, company policy, and delivery paperwork.
• Obtain customers signature on invoice as proof of delivery.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• 5 years of verifiable class 1 experience is required ( Class 1 Highway Driver)
• Clean commercial driver's abstract and criminal record search
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and hand bomb products into customer stores.
• Have a professional attitude and appearance.
• Good Time Management Skills
• High energy, motivated person with excellent customer service skills
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
