Staff Accountant

Role + Responsibilities  

• Review, analyze and forecast general ledger account balances and perform reconciliations. Verify accuracy and correct as necessary. 
• Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
• Cross functionally partner with business processes for budgeting and forecasting.   
• Involved in the planning, monitoring and organizing of various activities in the accounting department which may include accounts payable, cash application, general ledger, financial reporting, fixed assets and inventory accounting. 
• Implement procedures and solve accounting system problems, as well as procedural/process problems. 
• Prepare various financial statements and/or reports on IFRS standards. 
• Review internal controls for possible improvements. 
• Prepare and enter journal entries. 

Qualification + Profile  

• Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Accounting/Finance or Business Administration 
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, or International Accounting Standards 
• Proficient in MS Excel
