Commercial Real Estate Lawyer

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Attorney with a strong focus on commercial leasing to support a leading technology company. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a world-leading organization on complex leasing deals in addition to architect agreements, construction contracts, and other matters associated with a large real estate portfolio. Please note, this is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week on-site in Cupertino. 

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial leases for office spaces, data centers, retail locations , and other commercial properties.
• Oversee the operational aspects of leased assets, including negotiating architect agreements and construction contracts. Handle any issues that arise with properties during their time in the company's portfolio.
• Conduct due diligence for property acquisitions, leases, and other real estate transactions. This includes title review, zoning analysis, and environmental assessments.
• Provide legal support during real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, subleases, and assignments. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate various real estate-related contracts, including purchase agreements, construction contracts, property management agreements, and service contracts.
• Working with and advising corporate clients directly regarding commercial real estate matters.
• Ability to work on a team but also handle significant individual responsibilities.
• Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal business partners and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:  

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience as a practicing real estate attorney, with a strong focus on commercial leasing and transactional work.
• Comprehensive knowledge of real estate law, commercial leasing practices, transaction management, and operationalizing leased assets.
• Excellent deal management capabilities, strong written and verbal communication skills, powerful analytical prowess, and an interest in learning.
• Experience working independently, cross-functionally and taking on complex projects.
• BigLaw experience preferred.
• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution. Licensed to practice law in California.

Compensation, Benefits & Location:  

This role offers a range of competitive compensation starting at $162,000, and a highly competitive benefits package in the alternative legal services marketplace that includes health benefits, 401K and more.
