Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on clinic equipment and building facilities. 

 

Essential Functions:

• Respond to maintenance tickets and related to but not limited to, changing lightbulbs, HVAC needs, basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, equipment setup and maintenance. 
• Patches and repairs walls, windows, doors and locks and replaces flooring 
• Constructs, repairs and installs cabinets, desks, and other office furniture
• Installs and maintenance therapeutic equipment
• Maintains air conditioning and ventilating units including routine repairs
• Estimates project costs and prepares requisitions for materials
• Maintains adequate stock of parts and supplies
• Inspects work for compliance aligned with state,county and town ordinances 
• Conduct regular clinic inspections to ensure a safe and welcoming environment
• Performs and documents preventative maintenance initiatives 
• Maintains records of work requests received and completed through a ticking system

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience and Credentials:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years of experience required in at least one of the following areas:
  • Electrical 
  • Facilities Management
  • HVAC 
  • Mechanical 
  • Plumbing

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Requires a thorough knowledge of general building maintenance 
• Requires experience in facilities maintenance with the ability to read and follow wiring schematics and work without supervision
• Must be able to climb and work from ladders, and/or walk for extended periods
• Ability to maintain and repair all building disciplines
• Moderate lifting
• Must possess sufficient tooling to perform required tasks
• Computer experience for input and retrieval of data
• Must possess a valid, clean, applicable state driver's license

• Ability to lift or carry 50 lbs unassisted

Travel Requirements

• 100% travel required, must be able and willing to travel to all Westside Children’s Therapy Clinics as requested / directed by leadership.
