This position is located in our small, but growing, manufacturing and overhaul/repair facility located in Greenville. Summary

Responsible for planning and scheduling shop floor activities.  Confirms requirements for materials, manpower, and production processes.  Manages the flow of product lines into and through the plant including the following activities: material scheduling, production scheduling, and inventory stock levels. Reviews, develops, and implements policies to improve profits by reducing inventories while meeting production requirements.     Keeps Senior Management well informed of recommendations and areas needing improvement.  Assist department managers as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Function as the focal point in creating a production schedule using MRP.
  • Responsible for effective Production analyses and planning.
  • Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance with minimum downtime.
  • Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget.
  • Responsible for maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relations with Company personnel and management.
  • Distribute job packets to production.
  • Coordinate and manage special projects as required.
  • Prepare and submit status and performance reports.
  • Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the success of projects, individuals, and the company.

Education/Work Experience Requirements

  • Degree in Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of work and experience. 4+ years of related experience and proven performance in a manufacturing environment may be acceptable in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in manufacturing routing, materials, MRP, and master scheduling.
  • Proficient in ERP/MRP (Oracle preferred), and Microsoft Office Products.
  • Strong planning, organization and follow-up skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem recognition and resolution abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Well organized with strong planning skills.
  • Solid supervisory skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Experience working within an ISO quality plan a plus.
  • Team attitude; eager to cooperate with others with exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and task on a regular basis.
  • Ability to positively motivate individuals and teams to meet or exceed expectations.
