Director - Project Delivery

We are seeking a Director - Project Delivery with solid experience in client focused solutioning and project management to become part of our leadership team. The individual will be responsible for leading a team of talented project managers and facilitating the implementation of key internal and external projects for customers while carefully managing quality, timeline, and cost. This is a key role that will have direct impact on the company’s relationship with external customers and business partners. The role requires mentoring, coaching and development of talent along with operational project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead team of project managers and enhance our existing implementation practices.
• Establish strong and trust based relationships with clients.
• Manage project tasks to ensure deliverables are of the highest quality, timelines are met, within budget while delighting our customers.
• Manage executive level communications, reporting project status/risks to internal stakeholders, management, and external customers as needed.
• Support team and leading meetings with customers throughout the implementation engagement.
• Review and achieve alignment on scope of work and create a comprehensive project plan. Identify project dependencies and risks and facilitate mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams of experts including Product, Engineering, Regulatory, Quality, Security, Compliance, and Customer Service to deliver successfully on a customer engagement
• Support Project Managers to monitor and track the project deliverables. Organize, plan and direct project schedules, milestones, risks, assumptions, decisions and budgets.
• Manage vendor and business partner relationships where appropriate for the delivery of customer engagement.
• Support Project Management process improvement initiatives.
• Participate in the Management Team reviews for ongoing improvements to the implementation process
• Maintain a positive, can-do attitude and embrace a culture of customer success and operational excellence

Requirements

• 10-13 years of experience in project management and working within customer/client facing teams for project delivery
• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, information technology or related industry
• Demonstrated track record of team leadership and staff development
• Good understanding of project management methodologies and best practices such as AGILE, SCRUM, Waterfall, or PMBOK, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

• 5-7 years of experience in healthcare systems, hospitals, medical devices or life sciences industry, with general understanding of regulatory requirements for the industry (e.g. GxP, Software as Medical devices, Combo therapies, HIPAA, GDPR etc.)
• Project Management related certifications (PMP, 4PM, ITIL, etc.) are preferred
• Experience working in a fast paced rapidly growing startup
• Experience working with cross functional global teams spread across time zones
• Experience with implementing SaaS/cloud-based solutions
