Commercial SATCOM Analyst

Delta Solutions is seeking a SATCOM Analyst to join our team at Peterson AFB, CO. This position provides Engineering and Analytical support to US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) / J661. Support includes planning, definition, implementation, and operational management of global communications systems to yield more effective and flexible global SATCOM support. <h3>What you'll be doing:</h3> <ul> <li>Assist with the day to day planning and management of COMSATCOM resources in support of the Commercial Satellite Communications Centralized Operational Management (CSCOM) Joint Concept of Operations (CONOPS).</li><li>Provide technical analysis to support contingency and non-contingency DOD COMSATCOM operations and planning, management, and control activities. Provide supportability analyses for planning and managing requirements for users and payload requirements, encompassing legacy to future systems and requirements. Assist with the following: Coordination activities with CCMDs and other SATCOM users to assess availability of Commercial SATCOM requirements to support current and future operations, OPLANs, CONPLANs, and optimization of SATCOM resources for priority missions; Development of new operational management, planning, and control systems tools; and Trend analysis activities and operational deficiency assessments in support of COMSATCOM operations and management.</li><li>Provide assistance with the following: COMSATCOM constellation health and welfare monitoring activities; Mitigation, resolution, and recovery from satellite anomalies; EMI support to mitigate, resolve, and recover from COMSATCOM interference and support EMI resolution and coordination activities; Maintaining contingency plans to optimize the COMSATCOM constellation. Provide technical input in support of constellation reconfiguration activities. Review all COMSATCOM priorities and prepare a weekly priority monitoring list to military monitoring and geographic location resources in order to protect highest priority SATCOM networks.</li><li>Advise and assist with the following: Revising plans, policies, and documentation to account for future changes in COMSATCOM and commercial satellite payload requirements in support of operational decisions; Periodic review of instructions for current applicability and accuracy as changes occur to the space segment, control segment, and terminal segment; Production of orders providing oversight and direction to the COMSATCOM COI; and Posting, editing, and maintaining appropriate content on the JFCC SPACE SATCOM website and SATCOM planning tools in support of the COMSATCOM mission. Provide COMSATCOM subject matter expertise and document TTPs.</li></ul> <h3>What you'll need:</h3> <ul> <li>Four (4) years of demonstrated operational experience with MILSATCOM systems</li><li>Four (4) years of demonstrated relevant experience with the SATCOM apportionment planning and allocation processes taking into consideration all ground, space, and control networks, and operational control of sub-networks for apportioned SATCOM resources.</li><li>Bachelor's Degree preferred.</li><li>Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.</li></ul>Delta Solutions &amp; Strategies offers a generous benefits package to include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), PTO, paid holidays, parental, military and jury duty paid leaves.<br/>In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $80,000- $90,0000.
