Amprius develops, designs, and manufactures very high-performance lithium-ion cells for advanced applications. Amprius invented and perfected a 100% silicon anode that enables the highest energy density cell commercially available in the industry.
Summary
The Electrode Prep Technician will perform aspects of processing Amprius Technologies’ proprietary silicon anode and cathode materials for incorporation into cells. This role reports to Battery Assembly Supervisor. This is a TEMP to PERM opportunity.
Essential Functions
- Use small equipment such as a die punch, rotary tools, and cutters.
- Operate large equipment such as furnace, stacker, and deposition rig
- Measure materials with drop gage, mass scale, and caliper
- Visually evaluate defects from a list of standard defects
- Input data into quality management software
- Construct test samples for electrode verification
Key Competencies
- Proficient with hand tools and production equipment
- Exceptional manual dexterity and efficiency
- Basic computer skills and ability to enter data accurately.
- Follow standard work instructions and recommend improvements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
- Responsible for quality of tasks performed
- Keep work area clean and well organized
Requirements
Required Education and Experience
- HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- One (1) year of experience as an equipment operator or technician in one of the following industries: Semiconductor, solar, battery, electronics, or automotive.
- U.S. work authorization is required.
Work Schedule:
- This is a day shift opening on an alternating weekly schedule.
- Alternate Workweek Schedule: 3-days x 12-hour / 4-days x 12-hour every other week.
Physical Demands & Work Location:
- Fremont, CA: This is an on-site job. Reliable commute or planning to relocate before starting work is required.
- Must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 20 pounds.
- May require to stand, sit, squat, bend, kneel, twist, crawl, reach, lift, balance, push, and pull as required.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, respirator, and safety shoes.

- Salary: $22.00 - $25.00 (DOE)
