Senior Medical Equipment Technician

You support a portfolio over 400 different pieces of equipment, within a scope of over 125 countries. Ensuring that every service intervention we perform, meets the high-quality standards we conduct within Medtronic. As a Senior Equipment Technician, you lead by example. Next to your seniority related to Service Interventions, active contributions in relation to Continuous Improvement and 6S are expected.<p></p><p><b>Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:</b></p><ul><li>Perform multidisciplinary technical tasks in electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and optical domains, including constructing, troubleshooting, calibrating, testing, diagnosing, and maintaining systems at a senior level, using schematics, engineering drawings, and both verbal and written instructions</li><li>Conduct precision activities such as calibration and alignment checks, adjustments, modifications, replacements, and preparation of prescribed compounds and solutions to ensure optimal equipment performance</li><li>Evaluate and diagram existing processes, actively identify improvement opportunities, and report critical or structural issues to Supervisors, Focal Points, or Advanced Technicians for resolution</li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean or Six Sigma, by identifying waste, improving processes, and participating in problem-solving efforts to drive operational excellence</li><li>Lead and uphold a clean, organized, and efficient workspace through 6S principles: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety, ensuring compliance with workplace standards and best practices</li><li>Ensure full compliance with organizational procedures, including work instructions, quality standards, EHS policies, Household rules, and the Code of Conduct, to guarantee safe and optimal working conditions</li><li>Promote a collaborative and respectful work culture, acting as a team player, building relationships across international teams, and contributing to a positive “great place to work” environment.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Knowledge and Experience:</b></p><ul><li>Mechanical or Electronic Degree with a minimum 5 years of relevant experience</li><li>English <span>(speaking/reading/writing)</span></li><li>Attention to details and a quality mindset</li><li>Ability to work from schematics, engineering drawings.</li></ul><p></p><p>Experience in Soldering, ESD awareness, SAP and ability to repair on component level are considered advantages in this role.</p><p></p><p></p><p><b>Physical Job Requirements</b><br/><br/>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position. </p><p></p><p></p><p></p><h1><b>Benefits &amp; Compensation</b></h1><p><b>Medtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits Package</b><br/>A commitment to our employees lives at the core of our values.
