About the role
As a Senior/Staff Machine Learning Engineer specializing in fraud detection at Rokt, you will utilize your deep understanding of machine learning and software engineering to develop and implement cutting-edge machine learning models specifically designed to combat fraudulent activities. Working closely with our engineering and product teams, you will be instrumental in designing robust machine-learning solutions to tackle complex business challenges related to fraud detection, such as anomaly detection, pattern recognition, and risk scoring. Your expertise will contribute significantly to enhancing the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of our fraud detection systems, ensuring that our clients can safeguard their transactions and protect their businesses from fraudulent behaviour.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with product managers and other engineers with a strong background in fraud detection to understand business priorities, identify machine learning challenges specific to fraud detection, and architect innovative machine learning solutions tailored for fraud prevention.
- Build and deploy advanced machine learning models, including developing robust data preparation/processing pipelines and orchestrating machine learning workflows, all geared towards improving the performance and reliability of our fraud detection services.
- Ensure the highest quality of the code base by implementing comprehensive tests that provide extensive functional coverage, as well as conducting load testing, unit testing, integration testing, and other non-functional testing approaches.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in fraud detection, continuously researching and exploring state-of-the-art deep learning models. You will have the opportunity to prototype new modeling ideas and conduct both offline and online experiments to validate their effectiveness in detecting fraudulent activities.
- Actively share your expertise and knowledge with the team by leading discussions, giving informative sessions like brown bags and tech talks, and promoting best practices in technology and engineering, specifically related to fraud detection.
- Mentor and guide fellow team members, fostering their growth and development. Facilitate workshops within and across teams, encouraging collaboration and leading the agile development process to ensure efficient and effective execution of fraud detection initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of industry experience in successfully developing and implementing production-grade machine learning systems, specifically dealing with fraud detection in marketing
