About Auror Engineering

Collaboration is at the heart of the Engineering team at Auror. We believe that we can only build the very best software by working with each other, and seeking different perspectives to solve problems. We are looking for a Senior or Staff Software Engineer to join our Intel stream, which focuses on the core part of our platform that captures data from the retailers. Our head office is located in Auckland, however we are open to applications from anywhere in New Zealand.

• Ship code to production in regular cadence: We do this with a minimal defect rate, prioritising short feedback cycles over project plans and deadlines.
• Work on cloud native architecture: We focus on delivering business value to customers, without the burden of maintaining complex infrastructure
• Work on innovative and up to date tech stacks: Our tech stacks include: React SPA with MobX and Typescript over a C# dotnet core backends-for-frontends WebAPI, hosted in Azure. In Azure we use App Services, SQL, Functions, Storage, Event Grid and Search. 
• Contribute to our product: We work with Product Management and Design from the very beginning to make sure we’re delivering value to our customers and making a meaningful impact.
• Supports a coaching culture: Together, we support one another to level up
• Continuously improve: We are relentless about getting better and improving our processes, tooling and tech stack.

Requirements

As one of our Senior Software Engineers, you will bring the following:

• Strong expertise in: React, TypeScript, C# .NET Core, and cloud-native architectures is preferable
• Collaborative working style: You appreciate working in an agile environment. You’ll be able to work with engineers of all skill levels and to coach and mentor your teammates.
• Mentorship: You’re passionate and enjoy contributing to the growth of others by sharing knowledge, providing peer feedback and mentorship.
• Strong communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
• Audience consideration: The ability to discuss technical problems and solutions with both technical and non-technical people.
• Big picture thinking: The ability to think holistically about the impact of your work and your decisions on the wh
