Global Talent Acquisition Director

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and execution-oriented leader to join our team as the Director of Global Talent Acquisition (TA). Reporting to the VP Global Employee Experience, this role will have strong collaboration with the Talent and Employee Experience organisations within HR. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading the global TA team and driving our strategy to recruit and select diverse top tier professionals, including executives, managers, individual contributors, and operators to support the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and execute a global talent acquisition strategy aligned to deliver the overall business objectives, the talent and the company’s diversity and inclusion priorities.
    • Collaborate with HR VPs and their senior leadership business partners to understand current and future talent needs, translating them into actionable plans with corresponding metrics.
  • Team Management:
    • Lead and develop a global talent acquisition team, existing of both in-house (NA) and RPO model (outside the US).
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration across the company.
    • Effectively the lead the team and encourage a diverse and inclusive workplace culture in both people and thought leadership.  Uphold a strong work ethic with a high drive, high expectations positive attitude, along with crisp execution in the position to make a daily impact to the business.
    • Build capability and expertise within the team to upskill and enhance the team’s overall organizational effectiveness and recruiting capabilities.
  • Global Recruitment:
    • Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, from identifying business needs, to attraction, acquisition and anticipating onboarding, development and career pathing, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience.
    • Drive open requisitions and source candidates for specific senior leadership open positions
    • Drive and further develop the in-house TA team and optimising the partnership with RPO
    • Able to understand global talent markets and to appreciate regional differences in recruitment practices
    • Implement best practices for sourcing, screening, and selecting candidates across various regions.
    • Drive the recruiting process with external agencies where applicable.
  • Diversity
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to source, attract and hire top diverse talent.
    • Build and maintain relationships with diverse talent pools and communities; partner with hiring managers to identify diverse candidates.
  • Employer Branding:
    • Further develop, leverage and optimize LivaNova’s employer brand to attract top talent in the competitive medical tech sector.
    • Collaborate to drive creative and effective recruitment marketing strategies and a positive candidate experience.
  • Technology:
    • Drive and assist in implementation of TA technologies, including Phenom, which enable recruiters and hiring managers to improve the candidate experience, automate processes, and attract the right candidates through targeted marketing and branding assets.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with HR business partners, BU leaders and hiring managers, and other key stakeholders to understand departmental needs and align recruitment efforts accordingly.
    • Develop cutting edge hiring managers training and education and drive attraction of the best talent and deliver a positive candidate experience.
    • Collaborate with the global HR team to ensure consistency and compliance in talent acquisition processes.
  • Metrics and Reporting:
    • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of talent acquisition efforts.
    • Regularly report on recruitment metrics and provide insights to leadership for continuous improvement.
    • Drive weekly GEMBA to ensure full visiblity of all open roles, pipeline and challenges with rigorous action and remediation planning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (10 years) in global talent acquisition, preferably in the medical technology or healthcare sector.
