About the RoleHighspot is hiring an Accounting Manager to oversee parts of our general accounting organization and the accounting close process. This is an exceptional opportunity to not only join a well-funded company in hyper-growth mode but lead an already established accounting team.
The above represents the total expected compensation for this role. Actual compensation will depend on various job-related factors, including, but not limited to, location, experience, and job qualifications.

What You'll Do
- Manage the monthly close process with your team and ensure the accurate and timely completion of close procedures including but not limited to journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Manage different levels of individuals and skill sets while motivating and driving results
- Examine processes holistically, identifying efficiency and controllership issues, creating plans to rectify, and then driving cross-functional initiatives to address those issues
- Manage and be directly responsible for identifying internal control points and implementing control activities to address those controls points
- Identify technical accounting issues, research technical GAAP, write memos that support the accounting conclusion, and then implement those conclusions into operational accounting processes
- Work autonomously to manage and direct prioritization of multiple different work streams ensuring each sequence is prioritized effectively and driving results
- Lead the preparation and delivery of external audit and tax deliverables
- Work with business leaders on new business initiatives and develop and implement accounting processes to support
Your Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 7+ years of experience in accounting preferably in the Software/SaaS industry
- Mix of Big 4 and industry experience preferred
- Direct experience managing accounting team members with close responsibilities
- Strong knowledge and application of US GAAP and internal control frameworks
- Experience identifying and recommending solutions for cross-functional process improvement and automation
- Experience working collaboratively with business partners and driving meaningful change
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, communication skills, and ability to prioritize multiple deliverables
- Experience implementing systems and tools that support accounting
- High energy, positive presence coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and the ability to analyze financial data
- CPA license preferred
