POSITION 

The Head of ETF Operations will be responsible for building out Allspring’s ETF operations team and developing all aspects of operational activities related to our ETF products as we prepare for launch. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and in-depth knowledge of ETF operations, including creation/redemption processes, trade settlement, and fund accounting.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Develop and implement an overall operations strategy to meet Allspring’s strategic ETF goals.
• Work closely with the Capital Markets team to manage day-to-day ETF operations including overseeing the creation and redemption process, reconciliations, coordinating with authorized participants and market makers, and ensuring smooth fund operations.
• Ensure timely and accurate settlement of ETF trades, working closely with broker-dealers, custodians, and other counterparties to resolve any issues.
• Identify opportunities to streamline ETF operations processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce operational risk.
• Manage relationships with service providers, including administrators, custodians, and technology vendors to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Lead and develop a team dedicated to ETF operations, serving as the escalation point for all ETF operational matters, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure strong team performance.
• Participate in industry working groups and initiatives to maintain industry relationships and remain current on ETF developments.
• Work closely with Compliance and Risk to develop and maintain ETF specific policies and procedures.

CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of ETF operations and management experience, preferably with prior exposure to active ETFs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• 5+ years of ETF operations experience.
• 3+ years of management experience.
• Proven track record of managing operational processes and leading teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex operational issues.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• Experience with active ETF products.
• Experience with ETF Servicing providers and technology.
• Experience with Bloomberg AIM and CRD
• Experience working across multiple investment teams and asset classes.
