Sr. Database Administrator (5542)

What you’ll do:

• Provide daily interface with and communications support for a VIP Federal customer.
• Work with a highly qualified technical team.
• Develop new applications and maintain legacy apps.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility security clearance.
• Security+, or equivalent, certification.
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Mathematics, or related field.
• 6 years in database administration, engineering, and/or management.
• Experience with installation/migration, configuration, restoration, and maintenance of database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc) in a Kubernetes and Linux environment.
• Proficiency in SQL, including experience with PL/pgSQL or similar procedural language, use of SQL tools to monitor daily database activity and health, creation of complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, cursors, and user-defined functions, and primary support for various business-critical SQL Server applications.
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker), cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS), and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, Bash).
• Experience with Linux/Unix and scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Json.
• Able to support and troubleshoot RDBMS platforms on Linux, Kubernetes, and Windows environments.

TARGET SALARY:  $166,000 - $193,000

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including: 

• The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
• The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
• Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
• This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
• Performance-based bonuses
• Company-paid training and/or certifications
• Referral bonuses
