Job Summary:
We are seeking a Global Mobility Manager to lead and manage our global mobility and immigration operations. This role will ensure compliance, cost effectiveness, and a best-in-class employee experience for international assignments, relocations, and cross-border employment needs. It includes both hands-on and strategic responsibilities, from vendor and case management to developing scalable policies and processes. The Global Mobility Manager will partner with key stakeholders across Legal, HR, Talent Acquisition, and Finance. This role will also be responsible for driving continuous improvement, creating and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ensuring mobility programs are efficient, employee-focused, and aligned with business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Development and Management:

Design, implement, and manage global immigration and mobility programs aligned with business objectives, with a focus on employee experience, compliance, scalability, and cost effectiveness

Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to international assignments, expatriate management, and immigration compliance.

Proactively identify opportunities to improve mobility and immigration processes, drive efficiency, and enhance the employee experience
Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with immigration laws, regulations, and policies in various jurisdictions, including an audit of current cases. Recommend and manage resulting changes.

Monitor changes in immigration legislation and assess their impact on the company's mobility strategies.

Conduct periodic audits and reviews to ensure process integrity and compliance

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Collaborate with HR, legal, and management teams to provide guidance on immigration-related matters.

Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding immigration and relocation inquiries, including global expansion via Professional Employer Organizations and/or Entity development.

On a case by case basis, assess the value of short term, mid term, and long term assignments in addition to the various jurisdictional visa types that exist within countries (skilled worker, student, permanent resident, etc.).
Vendor Management:

Manage relationships with external immigration law firms/providers, relocation service providers, and other associated vendors, including RFPs and benchmarking

Evaluate and select service providers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
Training, Education, Change Management and Communication:

Develop and deliver training programs for HR teams and employees on immigration and mobility policies.

Create informative resources to help employees navigate the immigration process.

Directly communicate with managers and employees about changes in policy and process.
Data Management and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of employee mobility and immigration status.

Prepare reports and analytics to track program effectiveness and compliance metrics.

Monitor and continuously improve the employee experience throughout the mobility lifecycle

Manage the end-to-end process of work permits, visa sponsorships, renewals, and mobility tax coordination in collaboration with external providers
