Our Dallas office is centrally located within the Metroplex, making it convenient and easily accessible for our team members from across the Dallas-Fort Worth Area.

The Role:

Crunchyroll, a high growth online video company, is seeking an entrepreneurial, highly motivated, and experienced Director of Global Content Operations to join its team, as the company continues its global expansion and launches exciting new content channels. This individual will oversee day-to-day content operations and lead the growing content fulfillment and production management teams.

Responsibilities:

• Provide operational oversight of content fulfillment lifecycles.  This includes Simulcast, Simuldub, catalog, and expansion launches.  
• Manage team workload effectively, prioritizing and allocating time to maximize productivity and on time deliveries while maintaining high standards of quality
• Proactively review, troubleshoot, and escalate potential issues that may adversely impact deadlines and delivery/project commitments.
• Monitor work in progress and backlogs to anticipate capacity constraints.
• Establish and maintain strong operational relationships and provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders including:  Licensors, Programming, Dubbing, Home Entertainment and third party clients.  
• Provide technical expertise and serve as subject matter expert in digital supply chain process improvement initiatives and changes to delivery methods and specifications.
• Act as an escalation point for all issues related to Content Operations, Fulfillment, and Production Management disciplines.
• Establish and maintain productive and effective working relationships with partner organizations such as: Licensing, Business Affairs, Creative Services, Marketing & Distribution, Product, Engineering & third party service providers
• Initiate, recruit, build, grow, and manage successful teams for critical operational needs
• Provide, drive, and maintain a continuous cross training program to ensure optimal team performance and coverage 
• Continually improve content operations results by developing, measuring, monitoring, analyzing, and reporting KPI’s to drive improved processes, metrics, tactics, and strategies
• Exemplify and role model our core values and behaviors
• Contribute relevant metrics, qualitative feedback, and recommendations to strategic planning and help shape the development of new features, tools, and processes
• Deliver regular reporting to senior management and serve as the primary representative for Crunchyroll’s content production team

Preferred Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or 10+ years of management or similar experience is preferred
• 5+ years of strong technical competence (Video transcoding technologies, NLEs, digital
• delivery methods)
• Expertise in digital distribution supply chain principles.  
• Experience in operationalization of complex and distributed workflows, systems, and process redesigns and transformation
• Deep understanding of video/film/audio/metadata formats, distribution workflows, and technologies
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication (verbal, written, presenting)
