About Pair Team

Pair Team is a public benefit company reimagining care for the safety net. As an AI-enabled medical group for Medicaid and Medicare, we deliver medical, behavioral, and social care by integrating shelters, pantries and other community-based organizations into our whole-person model. As California’s largest complex care provider, we’ve proven our impact to reduce avoidable emergency care, including a 52% and 26% reduction in ER visits and hospitalizations respectively. Once scaled nationally, our approach would save tax payers $150B per year.

With our years of experience and vast data collected, we are now building an AI platform that embeds social work agents across the safety net to truly unify our fragmented healthcare and welfare system. By scaling our country’s frontline medical and social services workforce, we aim to bring high-touch care to everyone.

At Pair Team, we’re not just delivering care—we’re transforming it. We’re building a future where high-touch, community-driven care is accessible to everyone, especially the most underserved. Read more about the AI-First Medicaid System we are building here.

About the Opportunity

We’re hiring an AI Product Manager to design, deploy, and scale conversational agentic systems into the most trusted whole-person care AI experience.

This is a hands-on role for someone fluent in LLM tech who wants to build at the intersection of healthcare and applied AI. You’ll own how our agents reason, interact, and deliver value—developing both the taste and the infrastructure behind a world-class care experience.

You’ll partner with engineering and operations to move fast from prototype to production, treating this work as your own personal mission.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and deploy multi-agent systems that support care coordination and patient engagement at scale.
  • Develop the “taste” behind agentic engagement—how our agents communicate, reason, and collaborate with human care teams.
  • Iterate on the agent ↔ care team interface, defining the user experience for human-in-the-loop collaboration within our core platform.
  • Prototype and pilot new LLM use cases to accelerate Pair’s impact, from intake to outreach to ongoing member management.
  • Own internal data labeling and eval products, including tooling, workflows, and partner integrations.
  • Manage LLM operations—trace annotation, eval development, model monitoring, and human feedback loops.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, clinical ops, and design to translate complex real-world workflows into scalable AI systems.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven track record shipping and iterating on AI or consumer-facing conversational products.
  • Deep familiarity with LLM-based product development, prompt engineering, multi-agent orchestration, and evaluation frameworks.
  • Experience defining product strategy and success metrics for early-stage, ambiguous problem spaces.
  • Data-driven, first-principles thinker who thrives in high-velocity, cross-functional environments.
  • Collaborative leader with a strong sense of ownership and a deep personal connection to our mission.

Our Values

  • Lead with integrity: We keep our commitments and take responsibility for our actions. We are dependable and choose authenticity over perfection.
  • Embrace challenges: We leave our egos at the door and step forward into discomfo
