About the Team

The Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem is a high-impact, individual contributor leadership role within the newly formed Adaptive Planning Business Unit (PBU). This is a role for a strategic operator: a leader who can architect a world-class ecosystem strategy and possess the drive to personally execute the foundational work required to stand it up.

About the Role

As the primary architect and lead practitioner for this function, you will bridge the gap between Workday’s partner strategy and the Adaptive Planning PBU. This is a "builder" environment where success is defined by the ability to move seamlessly between strategy and ground-level execution. You will navigate the "Workday within Workday" dynamic with high autonomy, requiring a leader who is self-sufficient, thrives without a dedicated support staff, and is energized by owning the entire lifecycle of a partnership motion.

Core Responibilities:

Ecosystem & GSI Practice Development

  • Tier-1 GSI Strategy & Execution: Personally design and lead the execution of a comprehensive partner strategy for Global Systems Integrators (GSIs), Regional Systems Integrators (RSIs), and Technology Partners.

  • Practice Building from the Ground Up: Directly influence and build "Adaptive Planning Practices" within premier global firms. This includes personally driving consultant certification programs and embedding Adaptive into their proprietary digital transformation templates.

  • Direct Hyperscaler Alignment: Orchestrate and personally manage co-innovation and co-sell programs with key technology alliances and hyperscalers (AWS, GCP, Azure) to drive cloud-native planning transformations.

  • Revenue Accountability: Accountability for revenue targets and goals tied to strategic-partner-sourced growth. This requires a "hands-on" approach to identifying, qualifying, and helping closing partner-led opportunities.

Strategic Growth & Global Alliance Planning

  • Operationalize the Growth Thesis: Translate Adaptive’s long-term growth thesis into immediate, actionable workstreams across product, customer, and ecosystem dimensions.

  • Prioritize "Big Bets": Prioritize and execute the 2–3 strategic plays with the highest potential to drive immediate market impact.

  • Market Expansion: Conduct the primary research and outreach for adjacent market opportunities and whitespace expansion to strengthen the reach of the Adaptive ecosystem globally.

  • Executive & Matrix Navigation: Directly manage relationships with the PBU GM, Corporate Strategy, and the GPO to ensure Adaptive Planning remains a lead offer in multi-pillar Workday enterprise deals.

High-Impact Orchestration & Delivery

  • Self-Directed GTM Execution: Act as the lead liaison between the PBU and Workday’s core sales teams. You will be responsible for creating the enablement materials and personally driving the co-sell motions in the field.

  • Product-Ecosystem Synergy: Work directly with Product leaders to ensure roadmap priorities are aligned with partner-driven differentiation and market feedback you’ve gathered first-hand.

  • Operational Agility: Own the "full stack" of the partnership function—from high-level board-room presentations to the tactical coordination required to get a deal across the finish line. s
